LIVE: Afghanistan Claims First Pak Strike Since Peace Talks| 7 Killed, 85 Injured | Firstpost Live

Pakistan has launched a fresh attack on Afghanistan, according to the Taliban government. Mortar and rocket strikes carried out by Pakistan on Monday, 27 April, killed four people and wounded more than 80, as renewed fighting threatened to derail fragile peace talks. Around 30 of the injured were students, women, and children. The strikes reportedly hit residential areas and the Syed Jamaluddin Afghani University in Asadabad, in Kunar province. Pakistan’s information ministry denied targeting civilian areas or the university, calling the allegations a ‘blatant lie.’
