Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton is firing back at Republican rival Vivek Ramaswamy over a controversial campaign advertisement featuring her estranged mother, Donna Arthur.
Acton says Ramaswamy has exploited her childhood and accused him of going to ‘no low’ in an effort to save his campaign. The ad has become a major flashpoint in the Ohio governor’s race, with former President Barack Obama also condemning Ramaswamy and saying there is ‘no line he will not cross.’
Ramaswamy has defended the advertisement, while President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have backed him. Several Republican leaders, including Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, have called for the ad to be removed.
