The judge in the trial of Lindsay Clancy – the US mother accused of murdering her three children – says he “does not feel he has any choice but to declare a mistrial”.
It comes after a note from the jury said “it is with a heavy heart that we report we were unable to come to a unanimous decision”.
The prosecution agrees it should go to a mistrial, but Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer wants to appeal the decision.
