Russia and Ukraine have unleashed a fresh wave of drone and missile attacks just hours after US envoy Steve Witkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war. Moscow claims its air defences intercepted more than 800 Ukrainian drones, while reports suggest Ukrainian forces targeted a Russian weapons arsenal in the Moscow region. Meanwhile, Russian ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv killed at least one person and injured others, while attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure left thousands without electricity. As Donald Trump signals progress and the Kremlin expresses readiness for trilateral talks in November, can diplomacy finally end the war, or will the fighting continue? Josh Barnes tells you more on Firstpost Live.
