Trump singled out Colombia, claiming it operates cocaine “manufacturing plants,” prompting an immediate and forceful response from Colombian President Gustavo Petro. Petro said Colombia destroys a drug laboratory every 40 minutes and warned Trump not to threaten national sovereignty, saying such actions would “awaken the Jaguar” and amount to declaring war. The clash comes amid rising US tensions with Venezuela and growing concerns that Washington may be expanding its military doctrine in the region.
