Iraq has activated nuclear emergency plans and radiation monitoring systems along its border with Iran amid fears of a possible fresh US strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. The move comes after Donald Trump warned that he may have to destroy what remains of Iran, while insisting Tehran cannot make decisions about its nuclear programme without Washington’s approval.
