LIVE coverage of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s UN General Assembly speech, where he directly rejected Donald Trump’s characterization of Iran as a terrorist threat.
Pezeshkian told the UN that Iran’s people had been “victims of terrorism” and declared: “We have only defended ourselves. We are not terrorists.” He accused the United States and Israel of attacking Iran and said Tehran would not bow to pressure.
Pezeshkian also said Iran remained open to dialogue and diplomacy, but not under what he called the “language of force.”
