A dream cruise has turned into horror when a man was seriously injured on the “Frightening Bolt” waterslide aboard the world’s largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas.
The enclosed slide shattered mid-ride on Thursday, slicing the man’s leg and back, though he did not fall through.
Another rider was also cut moments earlier.
The 14m slide, known for its trapdoor launch and 360° loop, has been closed for the rest of the voyage as Royal Caribbean investigates.
The incident occurred during a seven-night Caribbean cruise carrying more than 7,600 passengers.
