A man in his 40s was fatally shot inside his unit in Merrylands at approximately 6:30am on 10 January. Police from Cumberland Police Area Command, assisted by Homicide Unit detectives, are treating the shooting as a targeted attack rather than random violence. Authorities are appealing for dash cam and CCTV footage from the area, with the victim believed to have been shot once in the chest.
