The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is set to hear testimony from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding Venezuela. According to U.S. authorities, the hearing comes after U.S. airstrikes on Caracas and a military operation in early January that resulted in the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who were then transported to New York to face criminal charges. After taking over as interim president, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez reached an agreement with the U.S. government to deliver oil.
