Jordan’s tourism sector is facing a difficult period as ongoing regional conflicts continue to deter international visitors, despite the country maintaining relative stability. The downturn is being felt across hotels, restaurants, transport, retail and other tourism-linked businesses, with weaker bookings, cancellations and disruptions to air travel adding to the pressure. Tourism revenues in Jordan fell 5.3% in the first half of 2026 to around $3.5 billion, with receipts from American and European visitors recording significant declines.
