Netanyahu: Israel acted alone in striking gas field | Pentagon requests extra $200b funds for war efforts
Israeli Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu has confirmed the US president’s statement that he did not know about the strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field facilities. Mr Netanyahu said Israel acted alone. The strike on the gas field, and Iran’s retaliatory strike on Qatar’s Ras Laffan gas facility have sent further shockwaves through the global energy market.
The Pentagon has asked Congress for an additional 200 billion US dollars in war funding raising fresh fears the war is far from over.
