Australian authorities are seeking answers after 49 passenger aircraft were forced to divert flights due to the live firing of a Chinese warship earlier this year.
The warships were firing missiles 49,000 feet into the air, as they conducted drills in the Tasman Sea.
New audio from the cockpit of a Virgin flight has been released, promoting renewed concern following the incident.
Pilots were not advised of the drills ahead of time.
