New Iran leader vows to ‘avenge blood’ of killed citizens | US refuelling plane crashes in Iraq

Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has struck a note of defiance in his first public statement. Just four days after replacing his father, who was killed on the first day of the war, Khamenei said Iran would “avenge the blood” of citizens who’d lost their lives in the conflict.
