Breaking News: Notorious Sydney gang rapist Mohammed Skaf has been arrested and formally charged by New South Wales Police over his alleged role in a major commercial drug supply syndicate.
The 42-year-old criminal, who was released on strict parole conditions in late 2021 after serving more than two decades for his part in the shocking 2000 Sydney gang rapes alongside his brother Bilal Skaf, was apprehended by officers during a late-night operation in Greenacre.
In a live report from Sydney reporter Jack Hahn, details emerged of a targeted police intercept on Juno Parade around 11:30 pm. Authorities allege that a search of Skaf uncovered over 100 grams of cocaine and $25,000 in cash. Following his initial arrest, police executed a subsequent raid on a nearby property linked to the suspect. The broader investigation uncovered an additional haul of cocaine, over $200,000 in cash, and various other prohibited substances.
Mohammed Skaf is facing serious legal repercussions as part of a wider crackdown targeting a group of three individuals. Together, the group faces more than 24 criminal offences. Skaf himself has been hit with major counts, including supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.
This shocking development marks a significant return to the justice system for one of Australia’s most infamous criminals, who spent his youth behind bars for predatory attacks on schoolgirls in public parks and toilets. Skaf remains in custody and is expected to face court later today as detectives continue to dismantle the alleged illicit operation.
