New South Wales will introduce an extra public holiday when Anzac Day falls on a weekend, with the following Monday becoming a public holiday. This change applies to 2024 and 2025, when Anzac Day falls on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The policy follows similar arrangements already in place in the ACT and Western Australia, though businesses will be required to pay penalty rates on those Mondays.
