Pakistan on high alert after bombing kills 12 | Russia pushes deeper into Ukrainian stronghold

Pakistan’s government has declared the country is in a state of war after a suicide bombing killed at least 12 people and injured 27 others in the capital Islamabad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lay the blame on the Pakistani Taliban.

Ukraine’s military says around 300 Russian soldiers have now entered the contested city of Pokrovsk a key target of Vladimir Putin. Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the situation in the region remains ‘difficult’.
