Demonstrators accuse Pakistan of human rights violations, economic exploitation and imposing a food supply blockade. Protest leaders have appealed to the Kashmiri diaspora and even sought support from Indians for their stir. A video of a JAAC leader’s remarks against the Pakistan government’s repression has gone viral. The unrest has also spread overseas, with activists disrupting an event attended by Pakistan’s Consul General in Bradford.
