Redbridge Group Director Simon Welsh observed that much of Pauline Hanson’s support stems from the “anti-major party” movement, and warned this could be detrimental to One Nation in the long term.
“The support is still nestled around that anti-major party … politician who is the hero of the underdog,” Mr Welsh told Sky News Australia.
“That’s the vulnerability some of these things create, is that they run counter to that narrative.
“It’s the ability to punch through this information environment that’s going to be the fascinating bit to watch about whether these sorts of opposition campaigns can get that message through.”
