In a 2025 BBC interview, the Duke of Sussex expressed that he missed the family gatherings and his friends in the UK.
Royal expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly it “pains” Harry to be excluded from the royal family get togethers, but suggested that splitting his time between his two homes could be a solution.
Andersen added, “Harry has always said the door remains open to some sort of relationship with the royal family. Meghan’s focused on their life in Montecito, but he’s holding out hope that he can eventually divide his time between California and the UK.”
