Russia has begun importing gasoline from India as Ukrainian attacks disrupt its refineries and create domestic fuel shortages. The first shipment arrived on August 5, with Nayara Energy linked to the cargo. The fuel was moved through ship-to-ship transfers off Egypt, highlighting the complexity of the route. Russia’s refinery output fell to about 3.6 million barrels a day in July, around one-third below seasonal norms.
