The family of renowned Quandamooka poet and activist Oodgeroo Noonuccal say they are upset after it was revealed the Queensland Government ignored recommendations to name Brisbane’s newest theatre in her honour.
The decision has sparked a political row following the opening of the Glasshouse Theatre at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Meanjin Brisbane.
