Queen Mary returns home as Danish Royals arrive in Australia for state visit

Anticipation is building for a Royal homecoming of sorts as Denmark’s King Frederik and Queen Mary are due to touch down in Australia for a six-day state visit.

It will mark the Tasmania-born Queen Mary’s first return to Australia in 13 years and the Royal couple’s first official state journey outside Europe since ascending to the throne in January 2024.

Their Majesties are due to arrive at Uluru this afternoon for a special sunset ceremony.

They will then attend events in Canberra and Melbourne before a Hobart homecoming for Her Majesty.
