US President Donald Trump has hosted a round table touting the success of his administration in fighting drug cartels.
In attendance at the meeting were his not law enforcement and defence officials, including Tulsi Gabbard, Pam Bondi, Pete Hegseth and Kristi Noem.
Trump said that the past administrations only tried to mitigate, and he will “eliminate” the threat of cartels.
The president goes on to boast about the vast amount of “deadly narcotics” seized by law enforcement.
Attorney General Pam Bondi contextualised the amount of fentanyl seized by the task force in the last month alone.
Trump also named the main cartels his administration is combating, calling them “real garbage”.
