When asked about the rumours on the Jase, Lauren & Clint radio show, Robert joked, “That’s [the] first I’ve heard of it. Sweet. Today show [I’m] coming at ya.”
The 22-year-old added, “It’s my favourite thing, whenever I’m like at the grocery store or something, I’ll see one of the tabloid magazines and I pick it up just to see what I’m doing.”
While Robert may seem like an unlikely choice for the gig, according to Sportsbet’s rankings, Robert has typically sat between fifth and tenth-most likely to replace the long-running TV presenter.
An anonymous source even told New Idea that Nine is “desperately trying to get” Robert and will offer him “whatever he wants”. [via New Idea]
The claim comes just after the conservationist signed on to be a host of Channel 10’s Ninja Warrior program for 2027.
