Speaking with Richard Wilkins after a performance, the wildlife warrior said, “The amount of passion and energy that’s in this room, it fills the tank… I’m in a place that’s so different from home… This is far from the khaki uniform, [but] to have the support from everyone at home, that’s what’s keeping me here, truly, it is everything.”
Robert added, “I feel so grateful to be where I am… I want to take the legacy that my family created, and create my own legacy. And I never thought my work as an animal conservationist, as an advocate for wildlife… I never thought I could spread that message through a dancing show, but it has been one of the most powerful ways to do that… I really hope out of all this that a few more Americans come down to Australia!”
