Will robot animals soon be used on farms? 👀 Demonstrations of sheep-herding robot dogs in action were shown at the Ekka Royal Queensland show in Brisbane. Dr David Alonso-Caneiro, a senior lecturer in mechatronics at the University of the Sunshine Coast, says the long-term view is to establish the feasibility of one day using similar machines as fully autonomous tools on farms.
