Rubio accused of covering for Trump ‘falling asleep’ in meetings

A California State representative has accused US secretary of state Marco Rubio of lying to Congress, after Rubio denied US President Donald Trump had ever “fallen asleep” in a meeting.  adding “I’ve never seen him fall asleep …  the guy doesn’t sleep, which is a big problem”.

Democratic California representative Ted Lieu played several clips in the congressional hearing that he said showed Donald Trump sleeping in classified meetings over recent months.

Rubio repeatedly called Lieu’s accusations “false” before Lieu accused him of “lying to Congress”.

“Instead of holding North Korean-style cabinet meetings where everyone goes around the room kissing Donald Trump’s ass, I’m going to ask you to come clean with the American people and the White House as well,” Lieu said.
