Houthi fighters claim they hit a military base deep in southern Saudi Arabia using drones and missiles, targeting weapons depots as fighting with Yemen’s government forces intensifies and civilians flee. Axios reports Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally called Trump twice last week asking for US strikes on the Houthis, both times he refused. This comes right after the Houthis captured the rest of Yemen’s Red Sea coast, sealing their grip on the vital Bab al-Mandab strait.
