Four US states are holding primary elections today ahead of the November midterms.
Voting is taking place in South Carolina, Nevada, North Dakota, and Maine, where particular attention has focused on controversy surrounding Democratic candidate Graham Platner.
The matter relates to reports of explicit messages he allegedly sent to women other than his wife, as well as accusations of threatening behaviour and scrutiny over a tattoo said to have links to Nazi symbolism.
