Socceroo Awer Mabil message for people displaced globally

Socceroos star, Awer Mabil, has taken a moment during a FIFA World Cup press conference about their upcoming match against the US in Seattle on Saturday to send a message to people displaced around the world.

Mabil’s parents fled civil war in South Sudan in 1994 and he was born in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya the following year.

He moved to Australia with his family when he was 10 years old on an Australian humanitarian visa.
