US Vice President JD Vance has called out Supreme Court Justice Coney Barrett’s decision to vote to uphold birthright citizenship.
The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to uphold the law came after an immigrant in New Hampshire challenged a presidential executive order.
US President Donald Trump’s executive order attempted to exempt birthright citizenship from the Fourteenth Amendment.
House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller called the decision “a deep knife wound in the heart of the American republic”.
President Trump also slammed the court for getting the decision “wrong”.
