Sydney Driver Busted Using Curtain To Dodge Tolls | 10 News

A Sydney driver has been busted on dashcam using a sneaky black curtain to hide their number plate while driving through a toll.

The cover flicked back to reveal the rego on a bright blue 2005 Lexus, now firmly on police radar after a Crime Stoppers tip-off.

In NSW, obscuring plates carries a $562 fine and three demerit points, or up to $2,200 in court.

The illegal gadgets sell online for about $100, but this motorist’s “$4 toll saving” could end up costing a whole lot more.
