National Party leader David Littleproud was heckled by a passer-by during a press conference on Thursday after the Liberal Party said it would follow the Nationals in ditching a net zero by 2050 policy.
Littleproud was saying the policy of net zero was too costly to afford when someone off camera called out: “I reckon if you tax the billionaires, they could probably pay for it.” Littleproud brushed off the comment by saying “probably, yeah” before ending the press conference.
