A teenager has been found guilty of one count of rape following a home invasion in Cairns last year.
The court heard the 17-year-old detained the woman’s partner in a bedroom with a knife while two other teenage boys raped her.
He pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape, with his defence arguing he was unaware the others intended to sexually assault the woman.
Prosecutors said he was criminally responsible because his actions stopped the partner from intervening.
