The science in Project Hail Mary is everything you’d hope for from Drew Goddard, who also adapted The Martian. Like its spiritual sibling, it’s a film about a lone genius battling to survive in space, but where The Martian obsessed over survival minutiae, this one swings for big, bold ideas in physics and biology which raises some interesting science questions.
