A new national report is exposing the hidden crisis of energy poverty in First Nations communities, revealing tens of thousands of people are living in fear of sudden disconnection.
Compiled by Aboriginal organisation Original Power, the report highlights how prepayment electricity systems, meant to prevent debt, are instead deepening hardship, hunger, and health risks as extreme heat intensifies.
