Watch the moment that got US late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live taken off the air indefinitely by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC).
The comedian suggested that Tyler Robinson, the shooting suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing, could be a Trump supporter during a Monday night broadcast.
“The MAGA gang [is] desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them”, Kimmel said, and were “doing everything they can to score political points from it”.
Following backlash, the Walt Disney-owned ABC announced the pulling of the show on Wednesday, which was celebrated by Donald Trump.
The US president congratulated the ABC for “finally having the courage to do what had to be done” in a post on his Truth Social platform.
