These missions could find life on other planets

In the ongoing search for life beyond Earth, there are a number of exciting missions that could be key to revealing if we are alone.  “Given what we know, there probably are lots of planets with evolving life”, says Astrobiologist, David Grinspoon from the Planetary Science Institute.

Grinspoon is working on NASA’s upcoming Da Vinci mission which will drop through the clouds of Venus to the surface to explore whether Venus used to have oceans, was Venus a habitable environment? And what range of initial conditions do Earth-like planets need to support life?

This, alongside other missions such as the Habitable Worlds Observatory space telescope and the Dragonfly mission to Titan, offer a new window in the search for life beyond our own.
