This Dubai community is rehoming pets abandoned by residents fleeing war

Dubai resident Anna Jentgen already owned one dog, but adopted two more, Bruno and Milo, through an online community.

As the war in the Middle East spread to Gulf states, pets have been abandoned in the UAE as residents flee the country.

Local shelters report they are at capacity, while an online group called “No pet left behind UAE” is helping to connect departing owners and potential foster carers and adoptive homes.
