Four years after their takeover of the country, the Taliban government of Afghanistan is now welcoming tourists with open arms.
Travellers are responding, with almost 9000 people visiting the country last year, and 3000 more in the first quarter of this year.
Critics say influencers travelling to the country are whitewashing the suffering of women and normalising a fundamentalist regime.
