Trump And Putin Fail To Reach Ukraine Ceasefire Deal In High-Stakes Alaska Talks | 10 News

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have held several hours of talks in Alaska but failed to secure the ceasefire deal the US president had been pushing for.

Both leaders described the Anchorage meeting as constructive and said progress was made, though neither offered concrete details.

Putin praised Trump’s “trustworthy tone,” while Trump admitted major sticking points remain.

Neither leader took questions at the post-meeting press conference, where there was also no mention of Trump’s earlier “land swaps” proposal.

Putin suggested a future meeting could be held in Moscow, to which Trump replied: “Oh, that’s an interesting one. I’ll get a little heat on that, but I could see it possibly happening.”

Trump said he will now brief Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO leaders.
