Trump appears to threaten Colombia

US President Donald Trump appeared to threaten military action against Colombia during a press conference on Air Force One.

Trump called Colombia a “very sick” country, run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States. “He’s not going to be doing it very long,” Trump said.

When asked about a potential US operation in the South American country, Trump responded: “Sounds good to me. You know why? Because they kill a lot of people.”

Trump later claimed that 9/11 could have been prevented if he’d been “listened to” about Osama Bin Laden. His comment came after US senator Lindsay Graham compared the US capture of President Nicolás Maduro to the US Navy SEAL operation that resulted in the assassination of the al-Qaeda leader.
