US President Donald Trump says NATO allies did not want to get involved in the country’s conflict with Iran, a move he described as a “very foolish mistake”.
“I’ve long said that I wonder whether or not NATO would ever be there for us. So this was a great test,” Mr Trump said.
“We don’t need them, but they should have been there.”
