The US President has defended the Saudi Crown Prince over the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018, saying he knew nothing about it.
It contradicts a US intelligence finding that determined the crown prince approved the operation that lead to Mr Khashoggi’s death at a Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Mohammed bin Salman, who received a lavish welcome to at the White House, said the murder had been ‘a huge mistake’.
