Pressure to act on AI regulation has grown over the past week, following dire warnings from leading AI executives regarding concerns over human ability to control the technology.
The US president has brushed those concerns aside, saying that the US needs to maintain a competitive edge with China.
China’s foreign ministry has spoken out against what it calls “fearmongering” and “vicious competition” over AI governance.
