US President Donald Trump has defended tech billionaire Elon Musk after his social media platform X was slapped with an enormous fine by the European Commission.
The €120 million fine was over the feature that allows users on the platform to buy a blue verification checkmark.
After a two-year investigation, the EU found that X gave users the ability to purchase the checkmark without any “meaningful” account verification.
The X owner flamed the EU’s decision to fine the social media platform, calling for the organisation to be abolished.
