US President Donald Trump said he wasn’t aware Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security prison camp in Texas until after it occurred.
“I didn’t know about it at all,” he said. “No, I read about it just like you did.”
Trump was also asked about deputy attorney general Todd Blanche’s interview with Maxwell and said he’d not spoken to Blanche about the encounter.
He did say, however: “Whatever he [Blanche] asked would be totally appropriate.”
“I think he probably wants to make sure that, people should not be involved, or aren’t involved, are not hurt by something that would be very, very unfortunate, very unfair to a lot of people,” Trump said.
