US President Donald Trump has told reporters he will take legal action against the British Broadcasting Corporation next week.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump said he would sue the BBC for anywhere between $1 billion and $5 billion over a documentary his lawyers called defamatory.
He accused the broadcaster of creating “fake news”, saying, “They actually changed the words coming out of my mouth.”
On Thursday, the BBC issued a personal apology to Trump but maintained there is no legal ground for him to take action.
