US President Donald Trump stated that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin want to end the war in Ukraine as he met with Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday.
“I think President Zelenskyy wants it done, and I think President Putin wants it done. Now all they have to do is get along a little bit,” Trump said.
The meeting follows President Trump’s two-hour phone conversation with President Putin on Thursday, which he described as “productive.”
The call concluded with the announcement of a planned summit between the two leaders in Budapest, where they intend to discuss the war in Ukraine.
